It played, for me, like a bad movie of the week on the SyFy channel. I say this as a huge fan of John Cusack, too. Nice cinematography does not a good film, make. I found The Raven as disappointing as 21 Jump Street. I was jazzed to see both and let down by both. You want nice cinematography watch Life Of Pi. Let this 'Raven' fly.johnnytwotoeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05234231830742536580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-581386594316975886.post-87343984855399629062012-10-25T11:42:41.631-07:002012-10-25T11:42:41.631-07:00John Cusack is one of my favorite actors and I jus...John Cusack is one of my favorite actors and I just happen to like Edgar Allen Poe’s poetry as well which made me think that this movie would be perfect for me. I saw the previews and I was really curious about it but never got the chance to see it in theaters. I added the movie to my Blockbuster @ Home queue and it should be here via mail this afternoon. I do find it interesting that the score for the movie is not period appropriate. I’m not sure how I fell about it as of yet so I guess all I can do is wait and see. I work for DISH so I’ve been using Blockbuster for a while now and I’m really happy with it. You mentioned showing the ladies being shown as normal and not all starlets which I do appreciate. There have been a variety of movies that have completely thrown the idea of being authentic in that sense right out the window. It’s really sad that they didn’t spend more time developing the characters and making them more likeable. From what I can tell though is that they did a fantastic job on the cinematography as there are some very beautiful scenes in the film.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01318395694396395865noreply@blogger.com
